Press release on the Constitutional Court of Kyrgyz Republic President Ms. S.Sydykova’s visit to Moldova on February
25-26, 2010 (Kishinev)
The President of the Constitutional Court of Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Svetlana Sydykova took part in work of the Conference on theme: “Guaranteeing the Constitution’s supremacy, basic function of the Constitutional Court”, dedicated to 15th Anniversary of Constitutional court of Republic of Moldova, which was held on February 25-26, 2010 in Kishinev. During the meeting such issues as legal consequences of the Constitution’s supremacy, legal guaranties of the Constitution’s supremacy, control of the constitutionality of laws and other important issues was touched.
The Conference was opened by the President of the Constitutional Court Ms. Pulbere and by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Vladimir Filat. The participants included Acting President of Moldova, Chairman of the Parliament Mr. Mihai Gimpu, as well as representatives of the Constitutional Courts of 12 countries, scientists on constitutional and international law.
On the last day of the Conference there was a meeting of chairpersons of constitutional courts with Acting President of the Republic of Moldova Mr. Mihai Gimpu in the Prezenture of Republic of Moldova.
