Within the framework of the project 'Development of Irrigated Agriculture in the Issyk‑Kul and Naryn Regions' financed by the Islamic Development Bank, a ceremonial capsule laying took place for the Uch‑Korgon seasonal regulation reservoir with a volume of 4.3 million m³. The event was attended by the Director of the Water Resources Service Almazbek Sokoev, relevant specialists of the ministry, the head of Issyk‑Kul Region Ulan Daliev, as well as local authorities and residents. The purpose of the reservoir is to provide water supply to all irrigated lands in the system by regulating the non‑perennial flow of the Ton River. As a result, water supply to 4,113 hectares will be increased and 817 hectares of new irrigated lands across four ayil okmotus — Tort‑Kul, Kun‑Chygysh, Bolot Mambetov and Ton — will be developed. Construction completion is planned for December 2025. This project will positively affect the region’s agriculture and welfare and stimulate socio‑economic development. Video: Watch Video
