Serve the Interests of Client

  • Act in accordance with all laws and legislation
  • Engage only in projects in the client’s best interests; avoid unrealistic expectations
  • Ensure scope, deliverables, timings and costs are clear and agreed before work starts
  • Carry out assignments effectively and with due care; maintain progress communications
  • Provide sound, evidence-based advice and guidance

Transparency of Representation

  • Be open about qualifications, skills and experience; accept only competent work
  • Declare factors that may affect independence or objectivity, including third‑party remuneration
  • Identify and disclose conflicts of interest and resolve them with the client
  • Specify and agree any sub‑contracted work; require equal adherence to this code

Professional Behaviour

  • Treat client information as confidential; respect confidentiality from any source
  • Do not take personal advantage from privileged information, nor enable others to do so
  • Act with courtesy and respect to clients, employees and professional colleagues
  • Maintain personal conduct befitting the profession of management consulting
